    Status Updates:

The weekly updates I have been making over on SubStack have been interesting to me. Sometimes they’re freeform and other times I’m squeezing an orange to get every bit of information I can out of them. Today I’m just floating here in the deep end of the pool looking for the HaHa’s.

So here’s my current comic plan, Maybe it’s a wish list, either way this is what I’m doing.

My 3 times a week updates have started falling into a predictable pattern.

    • Fridays I post a traditional Madscott 4 panel comic. It’s in as close to the original style and feel of the original comic as I am comfortable putting out into the world. You all are getting the finished digital version but each one starts as a finished pen and ink comic in a sketchbook.
    • Wednesdays are for weird. I post a comic mostly about aliens. There’s not a lot more to tell about Weird Wednesday. It’s just a fun single panel comic.
    • Mondays need work. I think I forgot that the plan was to make them more of a newyorker style commentary comic. It’s drifted from that and been more wacky.. I like wacky but I also am trying for a theme here.

So, expect Mondays to be a bit more focused.

At least until I get sad or distracted or something else and fall off the track.

  • Pluggers

    Pluggers

Do you still ready the newspaper comics? Maybe you read them online? I often check out Pluggers. It’s just a feel good comic. That’s it. No deep thought needed and only here to make you smile. I’d love to do it as a full time job. Until than I have submitted a couple ideas and Rick Mckee used them.

  • Scrap Paper

    Scrap Paper

Around my house good paper doesn’t get thrown out or go to waste (often). Todays example is some bristol paper I had after cutting out a sheet of sketch cards. I decided they were the right size for book marks. I may sign and laminate them later.
